What skills do English as an Additional Language (EAL) university students need to succeed? A panel of students and language coaches from the UBC Academic English Language Support Program will discuss expectations and realities, and will share ideas on how we can all work towards creating an inclusive and supportive teaching and learning environment.

Naomi Sawai is a language coach in the Academic English Support Program at UBC. She has taught EAP in Japan and the UAE, and she holds an MA in Linguistics.
